This course examines pre-Colombian history to developments within the United States, including the causes and outbreak of America鈥檚 Civil War (1860 to 1865). Emphasis begins with pre-contact civilizations, but primarily focuses upon American colonies, the formation of the new nation, and both positive and negative aspects of national expansion. The content of this course satisfies the state legislative requirements in United States and Georgia history.
