After celebrating 乐播传媒视频 seniors at the annual Senior Reception and Baccalaureate Service, the College held its traditional Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 6, in the Harp Recreation and Commencement Center.
Caden Quiles, 乐播传媒视频 Class of 2023, has been selected to intern with the American Junior Golf Association during the summer of 2023. This opportunity will allow Caden to use the knowledge and skills he has developed through his newly acquired bachelor鈥檚 degree in Sports and Recreation Studies.

Dr. Jennifer Schroeder, Associate Professor of Biology, advised Madeline鈥檚 research, which explored possible chemicals to treat or prevent metabolic issues like type 2 diabetes.
Caitlyn Floyd, a 2020 graduate of 乐播传媒视频鈥檚 MAT Program, was named the 2020 Pepperell High School Teacher of the Year She earned this honor during her fourth year on the faculty and credited the role of 乐播传媒视频鈥檚 program and professors in shaping her approach to teaching.

The ACA鈥檚 Ledford Scholars Program offers financial assistance for intensive research projects to undergraduate students enrolled at ACA member institutions.

Last Tuesday, April 11, saw the eleventh annual Undergraduate Research Day (URD) at 乐播传媒视频. If you were on campus, you would have seen poster sessions, creative performances, and students from all departments on campus presenting the culmination of their research. For the first time in the event鈥檚 history, all thirteen departments from the four academic divisions were represented at URD.
乐播传媒视频 students McKayla Milam, Helen Hudgins, and Morganna Oberdorfer had the opportunity to study at the University of Salamanca in Spain through 乐播传媒视频鈥檚 Study Abroad Program in Summer 2022. Not only did this international experience with Travel & Education allow these students to explore another country, culture, and language, it also allowed them to earn multiple credits towards their Spanish minors and electives.

The articulation agreement, established March 9, 2023, created an educational partnership to better serve currently enrolled and future students at both institutions by creating a smooth transition for students transferring from GMC to 乐播传媒视频.

Caleb Thompson and Dr. Kevin Geyer, Assistant Professor of Biology, have published their findings in the Georgia Journal of Science.
Montana Owens, class of 2025, was the first 乐播传媒视频 student to study abroad in South Korea. As an exchange student with our partner institution, Konkuk University, Montana studied for the entirety of Fall 2022 in Seoul, South Korea.

乐播传媒视频 is pleased to announce Dr. Keith DeFoor, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and SACSCOC Accreditation Liaison, has received the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges鈥� (SACSCOC) 2022 Carol A. Luthman Meritorious Service Award. SACSCOC has also invited Dr. DeFoor to its reimagined 2023 Summer Institute in Dallas, Texas, as a Peer Instructor.
As of March 20, the 乐播传媒视频 Counseling Center has a new counselor: Nerissa Baker. Nerissa brings over twenty years of mental health counseling and consultation experience to 乐播传媒视频. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist 鈥� Individual (CCTS-I). Her master's degree in Community Counseling and an Educational Specialist Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling are both from UNC-Greensboro.
