YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. 鈥� Nearly 800 alumni and guests gathered June 5-6 for the annual 乐播传媒视频 Alumni Weekend, one of the campus鈥� largest summer events, bringing together friends and classmates, and strengthening intergenerational bonds between those who share 乐播传媒视频 as their alma mater.听听
鈥淭he weekend is a great opportunity for our alumni to come together and fellowship and reconnect with classmates,鈥� said Mark Dotson, vice president of Advancement and an alum himself 鈥� Class of 1988. 鈥淭he connection to the College and the relationships that begin here are like no other. And we鈥檙e grateful for our alumni and their unwavering support and love for 乐播传媒视频.鈥澨�听
Special luncheons and dinners took place throughout the weekend, allowing alumni to mingle, share fond memories, and celebrate milestones. And the weekend would not have been complete without campuswide tailgate socials, a bounce house, and live music for alumni, families, Greeks, and crews of all ages to enjoy. Class reunions dappled the Campus Plaza and Lawn with tents, coolers, door prizes, complimentary snacks, and beverages.听
Each year, the 乐播传媒视频 Alumni Association honors outstanding alumni and friends of the College at the annual Alumni Awards Ceremony.听听听
This year鈥檚 recipient of the Young Alumni Achievement Award was Nicole 鈥淣ikki鈥� McDermott, 2016. This award is presented to an individual who has graduated from 乐播传媒视频 within the last 15 years and has excelled in their career.听听
The Nancy Louise Haynes Stevens Sanderson Robertson Outstanding Friend Award was presented posthumously to Bud and Woodie Dyer and accepted by their children. This honor is presented annually to a non-alumni friend of 乐播传媒视频 who has dedicated their time, resources, and energy to ensure a successful future for the College.听听
The 乐播传媒视频 Family of the Year Award was presented to the Vardeman family, recognizing their long-standing relationship, family history, financial support, and time of service for 乐播传媒视频.听听
The Distinguished Alumni Award for Lifetime Career Achievement was presented to Stan Anderson, Class of 1973. The award is presented to an alumnus or alumna who has worked diligently to create a successful career following a successful foundation laid by 乐播传媒视频.听听
The Spirit of 乐播传媒视频 Award is presented to an alumnus or alumna who is a shining example of faithful service to the College and dedication to their community and family. This year鈥檚 award was presented to Ramona Joseph Fricks, Class of 1971.听听
The weekend festivities drew to a close at Crane Creek Vineyards as alumni gathered for complimentary wine, hors d鈥檕euvres, and company, reminiscing about their days at 乐播传媒视频 while enjoying breathtaking views of the Enchanted Valley.听听

Founded in 1886 and historically affiliated with The United Methodist Church, 乐播传媒视频 educates, inspires, and empowers students through an education that purposefully integrates the liberal arts and professional studies.
