YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. 鈥� The Institute for Continuous Learning has donated to the 乐播传媒视频 Steinway Initiative to support the college鈥檚 effort to provide the best learning environment for 乐播传媒视频 music students.听
Inspired by a recent concert event at the campus, involving two brand new Steinway grand pianos,听the ICL听board of directors听decided they wanted to support the musical efforts at 乐播传媒视频.听
鈥淎s in the past, the Institute for Continuing听Learning听is听happy to make this donation to 乐播传媒视频 as an initiative that helps foster student growth and education,鈥� said听Jill听Long, board president for the ICL.听鈥淭his particular Steinway initiative will give lasting benefits to both students at 乐播传媒视频 and the community at large as we all enjoy the performances at the听College.鈥澨�听
乐播传媒视频鈥檚 Steinway Initiative is an effort to be听an听All-Steinway School, meaning听90% or more of the Department of Music鈥檚 acoustic pianos must be Steinway instruments. To date,听乐播传媒视频 has听purchased听鈥撎齮hrough the gifts of several donors 鈥� two seven-foot grand pianos and two upright pianos for the initiative. The next goal is to听purchase听a nine-foot concert grand for听Glenn~McGinnis听Hall.听
鈥淚CL鈥檚 very generous donation to the College鈥檚 All-Steinway School initiative is most appreciated and helps position the Department of Music and the College for success for generations to come,鈥澨齭aid听乐播传媒视频鈥檚 Executive Director for Accreditation, Assessment, and Friends of听the Arts听Keith DeFoor.听鈥淭he new Steinway pianos are tremendous additions to the Department of Music and the College. Students, faculty, and staff will听benefit听from these magnificent instruments.鈥�听
Being an All-Steinway School is a sign of quality that will increase the听value听proposition for students and, furthermore, enhance the cultural offerings for听the听community.听
The ICL has long partnered with 乐播传媒视频 since its听inception听in 1991.听Affiliated with more than 400 Lifelong Learning Institutes across the United States and Canada, the ICL offers courses during four semesters throughout the year 鈥� winter, spring, summer, and fall. You can learn听more at听.听
