YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. 鈥� 乐播传媒视频 invites high school juniors and seniors to enroll in its 乐播传媒视频 Early College program. 乐播传媒视频 Early College is a dual enrollment program by which Georgia high school students can take college courses and receive college credit while still earning credit toward high school graduation. Tuition, campus fees and books are all paid for by the State of Georgia through the dual enrollment program.
In addition to juniors and seniors at traditional high schools, 乐播传媒视频 Early College also accepts home-schooled high school juniors and seniors.
Classes can be taken on campus or online. At partner high schools, courses are available with an in-person 乐播传媒视频 instructor. 乐播传媒视频 Early College instructors are fully credentialed and have many years of teaching experience.
鈥溊植ゴ绞悠� Early College is a great way for high school students to jump start their college experience,鈥� said Diane Bauman, who serves as the academic chair for 乐播传媒视频 Early College and the coordinator of instructional technology and distance learning. 鈥淏y participating in this program, students may be able to complete college sooner and with less debt.鈥�
Participating students are encouraged to begin working toward completion of their core college curriculum. Courses on many subjects are offered, including English, American literature, Spanish, algebra, calculus, psychology, public speaking and world religions.
乐播传媒视频 Early College has grown from 189 students in Fall 2017 to 444 students in Fall 2018. This semester, participating students are on track to earn 2,065 credit hours. The largest number of 乐播传媒视频 Early College students take 乐播传媒视频 classes at one of five partner high schools, including Union County High School in Blairsville, Ga., Habersham Central High School in Mt. Airy, Ga., Cambridge High School in Milton, Ga., Peachtree Academy in Covington, Ga. and Rabun County High School in Tiger, Ga.
Students who participate in 乐播传媒视频 Early College do not have to reapply for admission if they decide to continue their post-high school education at 乐播传媒视频.
